My Broncos Draft 2012

Posted on: April 28, 2012 11:07 pm
Did this last year on here so keeping the tradition going.  Although I have done it every year, as probably most people have.  Usually takes a few years to iron out, so I can come back and check once we get there.  On record for saying I don't understand many of the trades and wouldn't of done them, but I will keep with that to make it easy and just repick what was picked with each position.

Rd2-36:  Took Derek Wolfe, I would of taken Stephen Hill since Fleener was off the board.  Knowing the nice DT depth I wouldn't of gone with a pick there.  Honestly would of liked to see a move in the first to get Dre Kirkpatrick, or even David DeCastro, but nope.

Rd2-57: Took Brock Osweiler, I would of taken Derek Wolfe here, and if he was taken rather than one of the other four D-Linemen in Branch, Worthy, Still or Reyes I would of been ok with them as well.  Think Brandon Thompson would of been ok here to, boy he dropped though.

Rd3-67: Took Ronnie Hillman, and if EFX just had to pick a QB take Nick Foles.  But if it were up to purely me, this is where Thompson lands.  Give us two nice options for D-Line.

Rd4-101: Took Omar Bolden, I would like to of thought Hillman lasts here with all the picks taken in between and then you have a great change of pace back after 3 players who could work their way into the starting lineup.   Lamar Miller went a few picks prior who would of been great, but can't have him and maybe have Hillman anyways.  If we dont have a second D-Linemen, take Jared Krick.

Rd4-108: Took Phillip Blake, and I might be ok with this pick.  If not, Bobby Massie there.  Get best O-Lineman.

Rd5-137: Took Malik Jackson, but I was hoping for George Iloka with our current choices at S.

Rd6-188: Took Danny Travathan, and not bad after reading up on him, keep with EFX on that one.

So with the picks as they had to be, since I can't trade back, here's my draft:
